PARTICIPANT INFORMATION

SONJ Athletes must be at least 16 years old to participate in College Unified Sports.



Assessment Date
If you cannot, you will still be placed on a team - please email RowanUnifiedSports@gmail.com to notify them of your participation



PLEASE NOTE:
All athletes are required to have a valid Participation Packet on file with the SONJ state office prior to participating in College Unified. 

All Unified partners are required to have a valid Class A & Unified Partner form and have completed the Protective Behaviors course prior to participating in College Unified.

All Special Olympics coaches provide sport skills and spirit that define a true athlete. Special Olympics coaches assist athletes in development and application of sport skills to be utilized  during competition. Coaches must fill out a Class A Form, complete the Protective Behaviors Course, and pass a 35 minute  Concussion Awareness assessment.

ALL Unified Partners must complete certifications before being able to participate. 

  1. Class A Form (runs a background check - this is specific to SONJ and another background check from elsewhere will not be accepted)
  2. Communicable Diseases Waiver (attached to Class A)
  3. Protective Behaviors Course (15 min. course)

If you already completed these in the last 3 years, you do NOT have to do them again. If you are unsure about your status, please contact JNS@sonj.org for confirmation.
