Regular Season Guidelines

Post-Season Reminders
  • Participants may enter one track, one field, and one relay event in post-season or championship meets
  • A team may enter a maximum of three participants in any individual track or field event in a post-season or championship meet; any event entered must have at least one competing athlete and at least one competing partner

  • Teams are not required to enter participants in every event
  • Schools may enter one team in the Championship Meet
Important Divisioning Reminders
  • Competition is conducted in co-ed divisions composed of students with similar abilities. Divisions consist of competitors with and without disabilities and are only determined by the participants' ability levels as expressed by times or distances
  • Ideally, the variance between the highest and lowest times or distances in a competition division should be no more than 15%. However, this variance can be expanded in order to have fuller divisions of three or more competitors
  • The minimum number of competitors in a division should be three and the maximum number is eight
  • Schools are encouraged to follow the heat/flight guidelines on the Unified Track & Field Score Sheets provided
